Felling
To fell trees we use a a number of different techniques. Obviously, a straight fell is the simplest and easiest way to get a tree down but this is not always the case; for example, if a large tree is over hanging a building or river or has targets underneath it, like a greenhouse or shed. In these instances, we use advanced rigging techniques, where a tree is dismantled in a controlled manner, using ropes, pulleys, and friction devices. Sometimes if a tree is leaning the wrong way, we use a high-powered winch to pull it in the direction we want to fell it.
